She Who Remembers

As the name suggests, this painting is about remembering, coming home to oneself and returning to the deep knowing within.
I believe one of the great adventures in life is the rediscovery of our authentic selves. When we begin to remember who we are and start stripping back the layers of social, emotional and mental conditioning that is when we ‘Come Alive’.
When I painted this piece, I was one year alcohol free, and it was at the chrysalis of this transformation. ‘She Who Remembers’ represents the journey of healing that one may choose to take in life. It is imbued with positive healing affirmations channelled through non-dominant hand writing, intuitive paint strokes and pours. This painting was one of my first paintings featuring my signature non-dominant hand writing.
It is intended that whoever views this painting will be reminded that they are full of light and encouraged to shine brightly in the world.
